Let’s talk about friendship. There are good friends and there are not-so-good friends. I’m a firm believer that the #1 thing that separates the two is thoughtfulness.
From personal experience, I’ve come to realize that it’s not just the grand gestures that make us a good friend. Rather, it’s the little, everyday things that help to build long and lasting relationships. All it takes is five minutes and a tiny bit of creativity to make someone’s day.
Cue today’s DIY. With Easter just around the corner, there’s no better time to celebrate your closest peeps . . .
Things you’ll need:
brown paper tags
a permanent marker
Fill the cellophane bag with a good amount of Peeps. In a pack of 10 chicks, I chose to do two bags filled with five each. Each variety (bunnies, chicks, eggs, etc.) comes in a different count. You’ll just want to make sure you have enough Peeps to fill every bag you make.
Secure the bag with a twist tie, and make sure it’s tied tightly. If excess air gets into the bag, it could cause the Peeps to become hard and stale.
Next comes the tag. You can personalize it depending on the friend or stick to a themed note. I’d go for a message like "Thanks for being one of my Peeps" or "I’m so glad you’re one of my Peeps". But really, anything goes. Just make sure to reference the gooey marshmallow goodness you’re gifting.
Add the tag to the ribbon, and make a pretty bow. Presentation is the key when it comes to gift giving.
